COMPANY HISTORY
Garden State Securities was incorporated in 1980 by George Bicking, a former utilities trader from American Securities, and opened its doors in 1981 as a discount brokerage firm in Red Bank, N.J. In 1988 Garden State secured a seat on the Boston Stock Exchange and began a third market trading division with a focus on the utilities market. In 1995 the firm became a full service, independent brokerage firm and expanded its workforce to serve the needs of the small business owner and the individual investor. In 1998 the company diversified its business model even further by introducing the firm’s Financial Planning division. In 2002, the firm was purchased by the current four principals, Kevin DeRosa, Raymond Ambrosino, Louis Lucky Perrotto and Scott Sari, who together, with a combined focus and plan for the future, have brought a new energy and momentum to the business.
For close to three decades Garden State has prided itself in taking an unbiased approach to investing for its clients and has practiced what they preach.
