The Smart Money Tracks

One of the most important changes in legislation of the financial markets took place in 2002 when the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) reduced the allotted time for the reporting of transactions by corporate insiders and outside beneficial owners to 48 hours from a previous period that could have been as long as 40 days (filings were due by the 10th calendar day of the month following such transactions).

The Smart Money Tracks is a proprietary research program offered exclusively through Garden State Securities, Inc. Based upon the results of this program, Garden State Securities, Inc believes that this program can assist investors seeking superior returns in the equity markets.

The Smart Money Tracks research program tracks the buying and selling decisions of some of the world’s most influential investors. The Smart Money Tracks research program combs through volumes of SEC filings to identify any meaningful transactions made by high ranking corporate executives or our select group of the most successful outside investors. These outside investors include buyout firms, venture capitalists, and influential private investors. We believe these investors have access to the highest level of information, which gives them a decided edge in the financial markets.

These investors tend to hold a high degree of concentration in their portfolios and take a more pro-active day to day role in managing their holdings than a mutual fund holding 1500 stocks. The Smart Money Tracks program believes the confidence demonstrated by their transactions can reveal significantly mis-priced securities.

After identifying a short list of candidates, The Smart Money Tracks program conducts a thorough analysis to gain better insight into what may have attracted these smart money investors along with a subject evaluation of business quality.

Furthermore, it is Garden State Securities, Inc. belief that the results of this program clearly demonstrate that the investors that comprise The Smart Money Tracks have greater sophistication and keener insight into the future of these companies than money managers or analysts.

The data is compiled on a weekly basis utilizing the most up-to-date information regarding the transactions of corporate officials.
