Ernest Pellegrino currently serves as the Executive
Managing Director/Head of Investment Banking for Garden State Securities,
Inc.’s Investment Banking/Corporate Finance Dept., GSS Capital Group. Mr.
Pellegrino manages GSS Capital Group, including structuring, negotiating,
advising and assisting in placing capital for investment banking/corporate
finance clients, as well as providing financial advisory services. Mr.
Pellegrino brings over 30 years of experience.
Prior to joining Garden State Securities, Inc., Mr.
Pellegrino was the Head of Investment Banking/Director of Corporate Finance
Dept. for First Montauk Securities Corp., from December of 2000 until November
2008 and was the Head of Investment Banking and Executive Vice President for
Coleman & Company Securities, Inc. from December of 1997 until December of
2000. Mr. Pellegrino was responsible for the management of the Corporate
Finance Dept. and all investment banking activities for First Montauk Securities
Corp. and Coleman & Company Securities, Inc. During Mr. Pellegrino’s
tenure, First Montauk Securities Corp. was consistently ranked in the PIPEs
Report and other PIPE ranking services/publications, for the number of
transactions placed and was ranked in the top 10 nationwide on numerous
occasions. Throughout his career and especially while serving as the Director
of Corporate Finance Dept./ Head of Investment Banking for three different
firms, he participated in and/or placed over $1 billion of capital for
various public and private companies. They were also involved in providing
advisory services to their corporate clients, including merger/acquisition
activity.
Prior to Mr. Pellegrino’s employment at First Montauk
Securities Corp. and Coleman Securities Inc., from 1988 until 1997, Mr.
Pellegrino served at various investment banking/brokerage firms as a Sr. Vice
President, most notably Shearson Lehman Bros. and Gruntal & Co.
Mr. Pellegrino
graduated from St. John’s University in 1988 with a BS in Finance. He currently
holds Series 7, Series 63, Series 79 and Series 24 licenses with FINRA.
